Annual Education Plans

On November17th, students will be receiving their midterm report cards and will be completing their annual education plans. Any students who have lost their copy of their AEP, can print a new one from the Huron guidance website.

Take Our Kids To Work – Wed Nov 1st

On Wednesday November 1st, grade 9 students across the country will be participating in Take Our Kids To Work Day. For more information, please see the official website at http://www.takeourkidstowork.ca/

Huron Heights will also be hosting the Take Our Grade 8’s to High School Day for our feeder schools at this time. For more information please contact our guidance department.

Post Secondary Fair – Oct. 26

Parents and students of all grades are welcome to visit our Post Secondary Fair from 7 to 9 pm on October 26th in the lower gymnasium and cafeteria.

Parents Night – Oct 19

Parents’ Night is Thursday, October 19th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Students have received an interview sign-up sheet from their homeroom teachers. They need to schedule interviews with their classroom teachers. Interviews are scheduled at five minute intervals. As the school is extremely large, we encourage you to schedule your interviews in advance and to allow sufficient travel time between appointments

Interim Reports – Oct 13

All grade 9 and 10 students, and some grade 11 and 12 students will be receiving Interim Report Cards on Friday October 13th. The purpose of these communications is to report on the student’s learning skills and behaviour in class.

Athletic News

Huron’s athletes have been on the field and courts this September and started very strong.

  • Junior and Senior Boys Football dominated their season openers last week with huge wins over Maple and Woodbridge.
  • Junior and Senior Tennis teams were at Glenway with Mr. Tadros.
  • Last night the junior and senior girls basketball teams started their season and the boys volleyball teams opened their season against Sutton and Cardinal Carter.
  • The girls and boys teams were at Cardinal Golf club to prepare for their tournament next week.

This coming week…..

  • Junior Tennis at Mayfair on Tuesday and the Seniors are there on Wednesday.
  • Junior and Senior Boys soccer play at home against Aurora and Sutton.
  • Girls Basketball teams play Markham
  • Wednesday the girls and boys golf teams are playing their qualifying rounds of golf for the YRAA championships.
  • Senior Girls Basketball team are hosting a tournament all day here on Wednesday
  • Senior Boys volleyball are hosting a tournament here all day on Friday

And lastly – the Homecoming Games for football at Friday night under the lights at Ray Twinney against Newmarket. The junior boys play at 6:00 followed by the senior team at 8:00. 

Come out and support the Warriors this coming week – lots of games – lots of action!!!
